New York (USA): Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat on Tuesday attended a reception held by the President of the United States Barak Obama in New York.
Minister Mahat, who is leading the Nepali delegation to the ongoing 71st Session of the United Nations General (UNGA) in the UN Headquarters at New York, attended the customary event hosted by President Obama in honour of the Heads of the State and Heads of the Government attending the annual event.
Earlier on the same day, Minister Mahat participated in the UN High-Level Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly on addressing the large movements of refugee and migrants as well as issues related to climate change.
Minister Mahat is scheduled to attend the SAARC ministerial level informal meeting on the sidelines of the UNGA on Wednesday. RSS
